Identification

POWERED BY MERLIN

Rare, range-restricted manakin found in a small area of eastern Amazonia. A small, mostly green manakin with yellower underparts; note the glossy yellowish crown in the male. Told from other manakin species in range by the brighter green-and-yellow body color, and yellow crown in the male. Most commonly heard vocalizations include a rough “to-preeee” and a higher-pitched, thin rising whistle.
