Media notes
An adult foraging and partly hidden by branches. This bird was part of a flock regulary seen around the lodge and which were identified by our guide as New Guinea White-eyes. Trip reports also state the white-eyes here are of this species and I have also seen photographs stated as being New Guinea White-eyes similar to the individual in this video. I am intrigued though that the lores seemed to be clearly black and the demarcation between the yellow breast and white underparts in very clear. This appears to be more indicative of Black-fronted White-eye (Z. chrysolaemus). I would be interested in any further comments on this. Elevation: 1761 m. Date added to IBC: September 22, 2017.
