A wide region covering the Indus valley of the South Asian subcontinent has been explored by the author while studying birds of the seas and rivers, marshes and deserts, ranges of arid hills and forest-covered mountains, and of intensively cultivated plains and plateaux with sparse vegetation. This book covers over 230 birds from different species along with illustrations and a complete description of their size, habits and habitat, with their vernacular names.
