Introduction

The Lemon-chested Greenlet is found in tall, humid forests throughout much of its distribution, but an isolated population in southeastern Brazil occurs in scrub and low open woodland. Greenlets are members of the family Vireonidae, but their small size and active behavior are more reminiscent of a parulid (Parulidae) warbler. This species lives alone or in pairs, sometimes following mixed flocks. Its natural history is poorly known, especially its foraging behavior and breeding biology.
