Other proposed races include simillimum (described from Hollandia, on N New Guinea coast), included in diversum; jobiense (Yapen I), merged into nominate; and pulchrium (Astrolabe Mts, in SE), merged with rubrocoronatum. Eleven subspecies recognized.
