Aegyps

(syn. Crypsirina Ϯ Racquet-tailed Treepie C. temia) Gr. αιγυπιος aigupios  vulture; "AEgyps B. (Tomia [sic] Vaillant)" (Billberg 1828). This name is based on Le Témia of Levaillant 1800, pl. 56; apart from its dark colour the bird is not remotely vulturine.
