(syn. Plocepasser Ϯ Chestnut-crowned Sparrow Weaver P. superciliosus) Gr. αγρος agros  field, country; φιλος philos  lover; "AGROPHILUS, Sw.  Bill resembling Chondestes  ... Feet large and strong. Middle toe rather longer than the tarsus; lateral toes equal, but shorter than the hinder. All the claws strong, and fully curved.   A. superciliosus.
