Alisterornis

(syn. Pachycephala Ϯ White-breasted Whistler P. lanioides) Alister William Mathews (1907-1985) son of Australian ornithologist Gregory Mathews; Gr. ορνις ornis, ορνιθος ornithos  bird; "705. ALISTERORNIS, gen. nov.  Differs from Pachycephala in its larger bill and in having the first and second primary longer than in that genus.  Type, Pachycephala lanioides buchanani Mathews" (Mathews 1912).
