Calopitta

(syn. Pitta Ϯ Ivory-breasted Pitta P. maxima) Gr. καλος kalos  beautiful; genus Pitta Vieillot, 1816, pitta; "d. Size large: upper surface black; breast white. (Calopitta.)  This is perhaps the finest and most brilliant form of the whole group; and, though allied to the next section [Pitta], must stand alone.   6. Pitta maxima" (P. Sclater 1888).
