CHRYSOMMA

(Sylviidae; Ϯ Yellow-eyed Babbler C. sinense hypoleucum) Gr. χρυσος khrusos  gold; ομμα omma, ομματος ommatos  eye; "Timalia Horsfieldi, Jardine and Selby, is identical with T. hypoleuca, Franklin, which latter appellation holds precedence. I understand that both this and T. hyperythra, Franklin, have recently been figured by M. Guérin in his Magasin de Zoologie. The former constitutes Mr Hodgson's genus Chrysomma" (Blyth 1843).
