CLANGA

(Accipitridae; Ϯ Greater Spotted Eagle C. clanga) Gr. κλαγγος klangos  eagle (cf. specific name Aquila clanga Pallas, 1811); "Ces observations concernent principalement les mœurs du Vultur fulvus et cinereus, du Pygargus, suivies de la proposition de former un nouveau genre Clanga, subdivisé en trois espèces: Clanga nœvia (Falco maculatus, Gmelini), C. fasciata et C. macrodactyla (v. der Muhle)" (C. Tyzenhauz MS per Adamowicz 1858).
