Dendrotreron

(syn. Columba Ϯ Speckled Wood Pigeon C. hodgsonii) Gr. δενδρον dendron  tree; τρηρων trērōn, τρηρωνος trērōnos  pigeon  < τρεω treō  to flee in fear; "This form [Coccyzura], like Swainson's Ptilinopus and our Dendrotreron [Col. Hodgsonii, Vigors, P. Z. S. 1832, p. 16], serves to connect the Columbinæ or Insessorial or typical Pigeons with the Vinaginæ (or dentirostral?) or tree Pigeons" (Hodgson 1843).
