(syn. Cincloramphus Ϯ Tawny Grassbird C. timoriensis alisteri) Dulcie Mirian Wynne (1894-1977) step-daughter of Australian ornithologist Gregory Mathews; Gr. ορνις ornis, ορνιθος ornithos  bird; "865. DULCIORNIS, gen. nov.  Differs from Megalurus in its shorter bill and weaker feet while the wings and tail are also shorter; from Poodytes in its stronger stouter bill and stronger feet with longer wings and comparatively shorter tail; the wing has the first primary comparatively longer than in Poodytes.  Type, Megalurus alisteri Mathews" (Mathews 1912).   Var. Dulsiornis.
