Eremiplectes

(syn. Ploceus Ϯ Chestnut Weaver P. rubiginosus trothae) Gr. ερημια erēmia  desert; Mod. L. plectes  weaver  < Gr. πλεκω plekō  to plait; "This is the Chestnut Weaver, for which I propose the new subgeneric name of EREMIPLECTES, genotype Cinnamopterix trothae Reichenow, which is to some extent a migrant in the dry districts it inhabits in Southwest Africa, and with a counterpart in rubiginosus in the dry areas of northern East Africa" (A.
