Ethelornis

(syn. Gerygone Ϯ Large-billed Gerygone G. magnirostris) Ethel Rosina White (1876-1926) wife of Australian ornithologist Capt. Samuel White; Gr. ορνις ornis, ορνιθος ornithos  bird; "666. ETHELORNIS, gen. nov.  Differs from Pseudogerygone in its much stouter wider bill, while the first primary is proportionately much longer than in that genus.  Type, Gerygone magnirostris Gould" (Mathews 1912).
