Nomina Platypus Brehm. et Hydrobates Tem. eidem sectioni imposita, jam pridem alibi adhibita sunt, et Fuligula, a Bonaparte acceptum, proprium est subgeneri ejusdem. Revocavi igitur nomen vetus et classicum, interim, si placeat, usitandum" (Sundevall 1836).
