Gauropicoides

(syn. Dinopium Ϯ Olive-backed Woodpecker D. rafflesii) Gr. γαυρος gauros  splendid, haughty, proud; genus Picoides de Lacépède, 1799, woodpecker; "[tableau] *GAUROPICOIDES. Rafflesii . . .ΓAYPOΣ, gauros, fier, superbe." (Malherbe 1861); "Gauropicoides Malherbe, Monogr. Picidées 1, 1861, intr., p. liii. Type, by monotypy, [Picus] rafflesii Vigors." (Peters 1948, VI, 143). This name may be a lapsus for Chloropicoides Malherbe, 1849.
