As all the subsequent generic names bestowed upon the latter group are preoccupied, a new name has to be chosen, for which I propose  GLAUCIONETTA.Ϯ  ... Ϯγλαυκιον, glaucium; νηττα, anas.  Type Anas clangula Linn." (Stejneger 1885).
