HETEROMYIAS

(Petroicidae; Ϯ Grey-headed Robin H. cinereifrons) Gr. ἑτερος heteros  different; Mod. L. myias  flycatcher  < Gr. μυια muia, μυιας muias  fly; πιαζω piazō  to seize; "PŒCILODRYAS? CINEREIFRONS, sp. nov.  ...  In habits and actions this species closely resembles the Eopsaltriæ, and like them may be seen perching frequently on the side of the upright stems of the trees" (Ramsay 1875); "HETEROMYIAS.  Pœcilodryas, Ramsay, pt." (Sharpe 1879).
