Ploceus Ϯ Slender-billed Weaver P. pelzelni) Genus Icterus Brisson 1760, oriole; Gr. οψις opsis  appearance; "Icteropsis nov. gen.  Rostrum subconicum elongatum gracile, longitudine altitudinem ad frontem fere triplo superante, culmine parum curvato, gonyde subrecta. Alae initium rectricum parum superantes, remige prima ultra dimidium breviore quam secunda, secunda sextam aequante, tertia, quarta et quinta aequalibus longissimis. Cauda subrotundata. Tarsi scutellati.  Generibus Hyphantornis et Sitagra affinis sed rostro elongato gracili diversum.    Icteropsis crocata (Hartl.)  ...  Hyphantornis crocata Hartlaub, Abhandl. d. Naturwiss.
