Melodivireo

(syn. Vireo Ϯ Warbling Vireo V. gilvus) L. melodus  melodious  < Gr. μελωδος melōdos  musical  < μελος melos  song; genus Vireo Vieillot, 1808, vireo; "WARBLING VIREO, Melodivireo gilvus   Melodivireo Oberholser, new genus.  Similar to Lanivireo Vieillot, but first primary (counting from outermost) less than 1/3 length of second; and second primary (counting from outermost) very much shorter than fifth, instead of longer, or at most only very slightly shorter; and height of bill less than half its length from nostril to tip.  Type: Muscicapa gilva Vieillot" (Oberholser 1974).
