MICROPTILOTIS

(Meliphagidae; Ϯ Graceful Honeyeater M. gracilis) Gr. μικρος mikros  little; genus Ptilotis Swainson, 1837, meliphaga; "1,204. MICROPTILOTIS, gen. nov.   Differs from Ptilotis in its absolutely longer though more slender bill, while the wing is shorter and the legs and feet weaker.  Type, Ptilotis gracilis Gould." (Mathews 1912). The species in this genus were formerly treated in Meliphaga.
