Pæcilonitta Bahamensis.  We have formed this genus for the reception of Anas Bahamensis and its near ally Anas Erythrorhyncha.   Affinity. In default of anatomical character, and from general structure, this genus appears to be nearly allied to Dafila.  ...  PÆCILONITTA BAHAMENSIS.  ...  rostro duabus coccineis maculis lateribus" (Eyton 1838).  Var. Poecilonetta, Poecilonitta, Paecilonetta.
