Prionirhynchus

(syn. Electron Ϯ Broad-billed Motmot E. platyrhynchum) Gr. πριων priōn, πριονος prionos  saw; ῥυγχος rhunkhos  bill; "Genus III. PRIONIRHYNCHUS.  Crypticus, Sw. Class. B. ii. p. 338 (1837).  Rostrum elongatum, dilatatum, carinatum, incurvum, marginibus tenuissime serratis  ...  I have made the new generic term Prionirhynchus for this form in the place of Crypticus, because the latter term is in use for a genus of Coleopterous insects, founded by Latreille in 1817" (P. Sclater 1858).
