MYRMELASTES PLUMBEUS, sp. nov. ... The British Museum possesses both sexes of this fine, strong Ant-thrush ... The female has so nearly the same general appearance as Thamnophilus hyperythrus ♂, that they might easily be confounded at first sight" (P. Sclater 1858).
