Media notes
Brown-capped Emerald-dove (most likely), Kabaruang, Talaud. The plumage of the Chalcophaps seen on Nanusa and Kabaruang (Talaud) seems to resemble the brown-capped species longirostris. However the vocalisation varies, either sounding more like the grey-capped indicus, or the brown-capped subspecies C. i. timorensis. Needs further investigation, but possible that this is the border or an overlap of the two species, as indicus certainly occurs on the adjacent Sangihe archipelago. If correct, it's also likely that longirostris is present on Maluku, otherwise the nearest known distribution is the Lesser Sundas and Papua.
