This shot shows both grey cheeked & red cheeked birds, but all have bright colors assoc with hepburn's race. Confusing! Which is which?

Hi Mitch,

The red checked birds are gray-crowned rosy finches while the all gray headed birds are the Hepburn's race. The bodies of the individual birds will sometimes show some variation on the amount of pink that they exibit. I hope this helps.
