Viewed with fellow ornithologists during the 25th International Ornithological Congress. I don't normally photograph birds, but I had my camera out to take pictures of Araucaria angustifolia trees against the star-filled sky, and so I turned on my built-in flash to take this picture opportunistically as the bird flew past me about 45 degrees above horizontal.
