Comments

The bird was not calling or singing. The iris color, the tawnyish belly an the small facial disk line made us decide that it was a Tawny-bellied Screech-Owl. However these have normally short or no tufts!

This bird was found in the middle of good gallery forest while the Tropical Screech-Owl is more copmmon on the edges. The tufts are very long for Megascops species anyway.
