Media notes
Eurasian Tree Sparrow Alarm Clock. This bird was just outside my bedroom window. Loud enough to wake me up. First recorded it while still in bed. Then managed to get up to place the microphone as close to the window as possible. There you will hear the bird seem to get louder. Could not see the bird at first, thought it was a juvenile calling for its mother. But through two thirds of the recording, the sound suddenly moved underneath me and to my left. There I saw the bird (you will hear me squeak a bit of exclamation). It was quite a large dark coloured adult. It flew off a few moments later. The computerised recording device took some time to stop. The recording is in joint stereo, providing a stereo like effect, but in fact it is mono. Bitrate 96kbps, direct MP3 format. No edits or enhancements took place. Elevation: 43 m. Date added to IBC: September 14, 2017.
