Media notes
Green-fronted White-eye vocals. Recently split, and it looks as if the birds we long thought were New Guinea White-eyes here are actually this species. They have a green forehead, narrow broken white eye rings (variable, some as a half circle below, others as two broken semicircles), dark lores, and quite small very rich vivid yellow chin and upper throat, with whitish underparts and paler yellow undertail coverts. I remain uncertain about the identity of the "New Guinea White-eyes" at Ambua on the southern watershed. Elevation: 1761 m. Date added to IBC: October 4, 2017.
