A fairly small flycatcher with a limited range in eastern Panama and northwest Colombia. Brownish-olive above with an olive chest and a yellow belly. Note two buffy wingbars on dark wings and a grayish face with indistinct whitish spectacles. Bill completely dark. Occurs in the understory of lowland forest. Distinctive song starts with two high-pitched notes that slur into a lower sputter.
