Identification
A rather large gray-and-white songbird with a long tail, curved bill, and black mask. Endemic to Galápagos. Similar to other mockingbirds found in the archipelago, but adults have clean and mostly unmarked underparts. It inhabits all major islands except for Floreana (and its offshore islets), Española, and San Cristóbal, where it is replaced by other mockingbird species. Juvenile has breast and sides marked with chevrons. Bold and inquisitive, showing almost no fear of humans.
