Identification
A robust, medium-sized brown bird with a long, spiky tail. Endemic to the island of Grand Comoro. Found at middle and high elevations in humid forest, including thickets, clearings, edges, and tree heath at high elevations. An inconspicuous bird, except by voice, that skulks in thick vegetation. The vocalizations are “chek” and “veet” notes often given in a series. There are no similar warblers on Grand Comoro, so identification is simple.
