A starburst of vanilla sprinkles across the breast makes this black-and-white fantail unmistakable. Irrepressibly hyperactive, it is often an active member of mixed-species foraging flocks in the middle and upper levels of forest. Song is pleasant and comprises burbling liquid chimes: “chi-ch’ch-chlipchilip-ching”, with the last note having a resonant, pinging quality.

Escapee: Exotic species known or suspected to be escaped or released, including those that have bred but don't yet fulfill the criteria for Provisional. Escapee exotics do not count in official eBird totals.
