A tiny bird with a small bill, a large head, and a proportionally long tail. Note the white forehead, the white throat, and the partially white collar. Unlike other similar-looking tits, the White-throated Tit has a dark eye. Occurs along forest edges and in alpine scrub, where it forms small groups and participates in mixed-species foraging flocks. Calls include a mix of high-pitched metallic notes, chattering, and dry trills.

When applicable, eBird generally defers to bird records committees for records formally considered to be of "uncertain provenance". Provisional species count in official eBird totals.
Escapee: Exotic species known or suspected to be escaped or released, including those that have bred but don't yet fulfill the criteria for Provisional. Escapee exotics do not count in official eBird totals.
