Santa Cruz Shrikebill Clytorhynchus sanctaecrucis

A large, unique shrikebill with a white belly and undertail, black upperparts, and a black hood with a bold white ear patch and a white dotted necklace. Bill thick and gray. Apparently restricted to healthy primary forest with little disturbance. Very shy. Call is a long, piercing, swelling whistle, wavering in volume toward the end.
