Julián Mariano Alonso | the Internet Bird Collection
Julián Mariano AlonsoLa Plata,
Julián is from the city of La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina and was born in 1975.
In 1997 he graduated from the Claes Ch. Olrog Institute, in the Tucumán Province, as a Technician in Protected Areas, and since then he has been a Forest Ranger in Iguazú, El Palmar and Pre-Delta National Parks, the latter being his current post.
Complementary to his profession, he studies wild birds and enjoys nature photography, activities that have led him to participate in several research and conservation projects for biodiversity in the region of Northeast Argentina.
The recording of the Campo Flicker (Colaptes campestris) was pure coincidence, product of the visit of his friends Albert Martínez Vilalta and Anna Motis, who lent him their camera.
