A male Austral Negrito perching on a shrub, preening. The Austral Patagonian (or Patagonian) Negrito (Lessonia rufa) occurs in a range of habitats, from lake shores and beaches to open or shrubby steppe. This male Negrito was perched on top of a Calafate shrub (Berberis microphylla) preening. A male Rufous-collared Sparrow is calling occasionally in the background. Elevation: 117 m. Date added to IBC: March 4, 2019.
