Media notes
Immature Australian Ravens begging, calling and feeding on the ground. The western race of the Australian Raven (Corvus coronoides perplexus) is widespread in south-western Australia. This adult Raven (with the white iris) was probing the sandy soil for food, while an immature bird (with the dark iris) waited impatiently, calling and flapping its wings as it begged. Another immature bird flew in, and began begging too. Both immatures were fed by the adult which then departed. The first immature Raven remained behind, pecking at a morsel of food held down by a foot. Elevation: 7 m. Date added to IBC: November 7, 2019.
