A pair of Twenty-eight Parrots (Australian Ringnecks) feeding on daisies. The Australian Ringneck (Barnardius zonarius) is a widespread, variable species complex with several interbreeding forms distributed across southern and central Australia. These birds are the south-western Australian race semitorquatus, known locally as the ‘Twenty-eight Parrot’ because of its call. They were feeding on the dry seed heads of introduced daisies growing on the verge of Coodanup on Peel Inlet, south of Perth in Western Australia. Elevation: 0 m. Date added to IBC: October 28, 2018.
