The male Curassow was seen infrequently at the Paujil Lodge.  On this occasion it turned its back on me and lowered its head as it emitted a very low pitched hmmmm (almost inaudible).  The feathers on the back rise as it makes this call.  The male also made several thrill whistles before it departed.
