A male displaying on an exposed post in the grounds of Kumul Lodge. The post is about 10m away from a feeding station where many female/immature sicklebills come to feed on the fruits provided by the lodge staff.
There is a bit of a whirring noise in the background which was the image stabilizer on the lens churning away as the video was rather impromptu through a hand-held still camera.

All of the 943 species known to occur are covered, including the extraordinarily high total of 456 endemics, as well as 5 introduced species, 2 species yet to be formally described and a separate appendix with 75 vagrants. Subspecies are listed also to give a comprehensive overview of the remarkable regional avifauna.
