Coscoroba Swans (Coscoroba coscoroba) are endemic to southern South America, and are fairly common in Patagonia, occupying mainly freshwater wetlands.  This pair was standing in the shallows of the Tres Puentes wetland, (Mirador Humedal 3 Puentes), in Punta Arenas, southern Chile, preening and loafing.
