A female Green-backed Becard perching. The Green-backed Becard (Pachyramphus viridis) is found in tropical or subtropical moist forests across a wide range over much of eastern South America. Green-backed Becards eat insects that they glean from foliage. The male Green-backed Becard has a distinctive black cap – this female has more muted plumage and lacks the black cap, but shares the yellow breast bar with the male. Elevation: 400 m. Date added to IBC: February 20, 2019.
