A pair of Kelp Geese drinking from a small pool amongst the cobbles. The Falklands race of the Kelp Goose (Chloephaga hybrida malvinarum) is mostly restricted to rocky shorelines, and feeds mostly on large algae, such as Sea Lettuce (Ulva sp.). This pair of Kelp Geese were drinking fresh water from a small pool hidden amongst the cobbles on the beach near the jetty on West Point Island. Elevation: 10 m. Date added to IBC: February 10, 2019.
