A Lesser Striped Swallow perching and panting on a 40-degree C day. Lesser Striped Swallows (Cecropis abyssinica) often nest in man-made structures such as bridges, culverts, under eaves and in this case the Ratlhogo Hide in Pilanesberg National Park. This bird was perched close to its mud nest, panting on a 40°C day. Elevation: 1305 m. Date added to IBC: February 15, 2019.
