Adult and juvenile Little Crows competing for a katydid. Little Crows (Corvus bennetti) are widespread throughout Australia, but are more common is arid and semi-arid areas. Little Crows are highly insectivorous – this juvenile had caught a katydid (or long-horned grasshopper), and was perched on a log near the ground eating it when an adult bird arrived, and attempted to steal the juvenile’s prey. Elevation: 7 m. Date added to IBC: September 10, 2019.
