Male Long-tailed Meadowlark foraging in grass and feeding begging chick. The spectacular Long-tailed Meadowlark (Leistes loyca falklandicus) is a reasonably common grassland bird on the Falkland Islands. This male Meadowlark was hunting for grubs and insects in pasture near the farmhouse on West Point Island in the West Falklands while being pursued by its hungry chick. ANT2015-4-165. Elevation: 93 m. Date added to IBC: April 1, 2018.
