Media notes
Micronesian myzomela. While watching several birds flit back and forth through trees, we watched this unusual behavior. A bird would fly to a red automobile (same shade of red as the bird), and land on the outside mirror. From there, the bird would attempt to "reach" the other bird -- its own reflection of itself in the car's side window. We watched a Micronesian myzomela do this on no less than a half-dozen ocassions in a short time period. No way of telling if it was the same bird, or different individuals of the same species. Elevation: 19 m. Date added to IBC: January 27, 2019.
